British Red Cross

The British Red Cross provides humanitarian assistance to people in crisis and reduce the chance of people falling through gaps in the health and social care system. They support not just people affected by emergencies but also, vulnerable people returning home from hospital and refugees/asylum seekers who are living within our communities.

Diocese of Bristol (Church of England)

The Diocese of Bristol covers the more northern area of Wiltshire and provide spiritual, emotional and physical welfare to the population in an emergency.

Mendip Cave Rescue

Mendip Cave Rescue has responsibility for search and rescue underground in the caves and mines of Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset.

RE:ACT Disaster Response

REACT is a relatively new organisation having previously operated in the UK under a different name. The organisation are predominantly made up of military or emergency service veterans and provide support and assistance to the responding agencies across a wide variety of disciplines including spontaneous volunteer management, strategic planning and disaster mapping.

Rapid Relief Team (RRT)

Rapid Relief Team provide one of the most important aspects needed in any incident response, food and drink.! They provide food boxes and catered facilities to many large scale incidents and emergencies to both the public and the responding agencies.

Rotary and Inner Wheel

The Rotary Club are a registered charity which among many areas of support are always available to help in an emergency in the UK. They carry out a variety of roles in response such as donation management, emergency supplies and general logistics. The rotary club have a long history in helping with disasters and work excellently alongside responding agencies.

Serve On

Serve is an international charity whose headquarters are based in Wiltshire. They provide humanitarian crisis response at home and abroad.

St John Ambulance

St Johns ambulance are predominantly known for providing first aid at events but they do so much more. They are a charity that teach and provide first aid and emergency medical cover. They are also primarily staffed by volunteers.

Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind

Mind is a registered charity and provides mental health advice, support and services to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

Victim Support

Victim Supports (VS’s) role in the event of a major incident will be to provide humanitarian assistance to victims, witnesses, family, friends and local communities affected by the event.
