Responsibilities

Mendip Cave Rescue has responsibility for search and rescue underground in the caves and mines of Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset.

Key Roles in Response

A small group of volunteers live in Wiltshire or Bath.  These people are called out first for search and rescue from, for example, the 100kms of quarried passages under Box Hill.
