The BSW ICB is part of the BSW Together Integrated Care System (ICS) which became a statutory body on 1 July 2022 and one of 42 ICSs in England.

Responsibilities

The BSW ICB oversees how money is spent on health and wellbeing and makes sure that health services work well and are of high quality.  It brings together hospitals, primary care, local councils, hospices, voluntary community, and social enterprise organisations and Health watch partners in the local area.

Key Roles in Response

Members of the BSW ICB include hospitals, primary care organisations, local authorities, a mental health trust, an ambulance trust and many voluntary sector and community enterprise groups. As such, our partner organisations are frequently involved in planning, coordination and providing a front-line response to a wide range of serious incidents.
