Responsibilities
NHS England Southwest needs to be able to plan for and respond to a wide range of incidents and emergencies which could affect health or patient care. These could be anything from extreme weather conditions, an infectious disease outbreak, a major transport accident, a cyber security incident or act of terrorism.
Key Roles in Response
NHS England Southwest provide leadership across the Southwest region of England. If a response requires a wider strategic NHS response, then the Southwest Team will provide command, control, and coordination for the NHS.
