How to register your interest?

Registering your interest to become an Emergency Contact Hub is easy and just takes a few simple steps:

  1. Get together as a community (this can be a Parish Council, religious community, town council, sports community, social club etc) and decide you would like to be part of the scheme.
  2. Agree to the key principles of the scheme:
    1. Operate as a hub for all the local community to come together in an emergency for help and information.
    2. Will operate as a community run the facility which predominantly looks after itself.
    3. Provide contact details to Wiltshire and Swindon Prepared to access in an emergency, alongside agreeing to be on the county hub database as an Emergency Contact Hub.
  3. Decide on a building that can be used as an Emergency Contact Hub (see requirements page).
  4. Contact Wiltshire and Swindon Prepared to register your interest.

  5. Wiltshire and Swindon Prepared will then visit your premises/building to explain the process in more detail and collect a few details about the building for us to keep us on file.
