Wiltshire Libraries are reminding residents that all library buildings across the county offer a warm and welcoming space for anyone to spend time in during colder months.

All Wiltshire libraries provide a friendly environment where people can relax, read, get online, access information and advice, or simply have a chat. Many libraries also host activities throughout winter, including communal jigsaw tables, crafting groups, and other sessions designed to bring people together.

Residents can also borrow a thermal imaging camera for free to check their homes for heat loss. Cameras can be borrowed from Wiltshire’s larger libraries or reserved online for collection at any library location. More information is available at https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/thermal-imaging-cameras

Anyone struggling to stay warm this winter can also speak to staff at their local library, who can help signpost to support and advice from trusted organisations.

Wiltshire Libraries also offer a wide range of free resources and digital services to support reading and learning for all ages, including more than 380,000 books, 10,000 audiobooks, 3,300 e-books and 6,000 e-magazines available to borrow.
