In the last two weeks of August (Monday, 17 to Friday, 28), the Council is leading The Big Town Centre Clean-Up: stepping up services to enhance the public realm in the town centre. This will include power-washing public spaces, removing graffiti, cleaning and replacing litter bins, repairing paving and clearing weeds.

To complement this work, and maximise our collective impact, we’re inviting volunteers to lend a helping by registering now to help with tasks like: 

• litter-picking
• restoring benches
• refreshing flower beds
