GCHQ Christmas Challenge

GCHQ Christmas Challenge

Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), the UK’s intelligence, security and cyber agency, is running its annual Christmas Challenge for children aged 11 to 18 years old on 10 December

The challenge puts science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills to the test and encourages students to think laterally and work as a team, while showcasing some of the skills they might need to become a spy. Schools can register now to get early access to the puzzles

Teachers will also receive a pack of lesson resources, hints sheet and printable certificates. A coordinated day of puzzling will take place on 10 December, with schools encouraged to share their progress on social media.

Teachers can register their interest ahead of the 10 December launch date. This will ensure your school gets early access to the resources and content for this year’s GCHQ Christmas Challenge.
