Wiltshire & Swindon LRF is working with fellow responders across the South West and are grateful to businesses and others for their support in providing essential PPE supplies. PPE continues to present a huge challenge, and a national request is being made of organisations or others able to help with making PPE such as visors and gowns for our frontline workers. Get free extra support during power or water supply interruption

Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), Thames Water and Wessex Water have teamed up to provide extra support for vulnerable customers during power cuts or water supply interruptions. In order to benefit from this additional support it is important that you sign up to the Priority Services Register. You only have to sign up once - if you register with one of the companies they will share your information in confidence with the other supplier.

105 is a new three-digit number that people can call to report or get information about power cuts.

You can also call 105 with any welfare concerns related to a power cut, or if you are worried about the safety of over or underground electricity cables or substations.

Oil Spills

Oil spills can be a problem for many people including boat owners, farmers and those working in the horticulture industry, DIY and car enthusiasts.

The Environment Agency has launched a website which gives advice on such matters as oil theft prevention, oil spills in flood risk areas and preparing to deal with a spill.
