Stay at Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives!
WinterReady - Are you ready for the weather this Winter?
Thinking ahead and preparing for what the weather may bring can make a real difference at this time of year. WeatherReady is a campaign - run by the Met Office in partnership with the Cabinet Office – to help you prepare for and cope with severe weather.
Due to COVID-19 we may not be able to plan ahead quite like we did last Winter, but forward planning and preparation for what the weather may bring can make a real difference.
This campaign provides expert advice to encourage people to prepare for severe weather throughout the year. It brings together seasonal advice from carefully selected organisations to ensure members of the public can prepare for and respond to the weather, to stay safe and protect their homes and businesses.
WeatherReady encourages individuals, families and communities to think about Winter preparations they can make to help them stay warm, healthy and safe at this time of year.
The Met Office is a constituent member of Wiltshire & Swindon LRF. The LRF fully supports and endorses this Met Office campaign.
